Go down the Kiso River on a SUP.

We move forward, overcoming big waves that appear one after another.

The water surface is moving, the board is bouncing,

Then, at one point, he loses his balance and falls into the water.

The cold water enveloped my whole body in an instant.

Tossed about by the waves, searching for air.

I can't breathe,

A few seconds can feel like tens of seconds, or even an eternity.

For some reason, my mind was strangely calm.

Calmness amidst chaos.

Looking up, the water surface sparkles,

For some reason, there was even a sense of comfort there.

The moment you become one with the water,

The river, nature, and time all blend together.

I ride over wave after wave,

the surface alive beneath me,

the board dancing with the current—

until, in a single moment, I lose balance and fall.

Breathing becomes impossible.

Seconds stretch into tens of seconds—

or perhaps, eternity.

And yet, somehow, I feel calm.

In the chaos, there is a strange tranquility.

Looking up, the water's surface shimmers,

and oddly, it feels… peaceful.

In that moment of surrender,

I become one with the river—

With nature, with time,

with everything.
